Integrated Capacity Building in Water and Sanitation Service Management and Community Accountability Mechanisms – March 14–15, 2026

Funded by UNICEF under the "Thabat" project and implemented by the Nabta Organization, a training workshop was held in Shendi Locality for 22 men and 14 women. The workshop focused on integrated capacity building in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) service management and community accountability mechanisms. Its objectives were to enhance participants' capabilities in the integrated management of WASH services at the community level—thereby ensuring their sustainability and efficiency—and to familiarize participants with safe programming principles and methods for integrating mechanisms to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse into all WASH project activities. Additionally, the workshop aimed to raise awareness regarding gender-based violence and strategies to mitigate associated risks during service delivery.
